Driving my 1st generation Mazda Miata, it just died and had to pull into a parking lot. Finally towed it to my apartment. I’m thinking it’s a broken timing belt. When the timing belt breaks while driving, does it always warp the valve stems, ruin the head, etc? Thanks in advance for any iformation, Mack
They engine is a 4 cyl. DOHC and I heard no noises when this occurred. When I bougth from the orginal owner, she had around 60K. I changed the timing belt then, but now it has 215K + on the engine. Still good with oil and gas consumption.
